Hi! My name is Leah. I am a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a major in Social Development Studies, and a specialization in education. I currently work at a Nature School which has made me realize my passion for teaching, creativity, and the outdoors. I am an enthusiastic and positive person who loves to read and write. I am patient and friendly and want to connect with you as a learner. Wherever you are at on your learning journey, I am ready to help in whatever way I can and will dedicate my time and resources to helping you achieve your goals. My goal as a tutor is to meet you where you are, and together we can cultivate a plan to help you succeed. Sessions will vary, but in all of my sessions, I wish to have time for engaging activities based on the interests of the student and allotted time for working on specific projects or subject areas. I am prepared to make lessons for anyone from Kindergarten through University on anything from general literacy (including linguistics, part of speech, word patterns) to writing (grammar, editing, flow). Lessons will be well prepared and tailored to each student, regardless of ability. I hope to inject specific student interest into each lesson and constantly adapt the way we learn together to ensure students are receiving the best assistance possible. I have a passion for reading and writing and I want to help each person meet their goals, whatever they may be.
