About Colton
Hi! I’m Colton, a bilingual math graduate from the University of Waterloo with a specialization in Pure Mathematics. I offer both in-person and online tutoring for students at all levels—from high school to university and beyond. I can help with high school subjects such as calculus, functions, algebra, trigonometry, and statistics, as well as university courses including Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Linear Algebra, Introduction to Proofs, Abstract Algebra, Real Analysis, and Differential Geometry. I also assist with exam prep for high school courses, the SAT, university midterms and finals, and even math exams for work or career development. Whether you're preparing for a big test or just trying to build your confidence in math, I’m willing to help students who just need a little clarification on something all the way to those who are struggling and need a whole new way of seeing and understanding math.

I take a clear and visual approach to teaching, breaking down complex math concepts into smaller, more manageable parts to make them easier to understand. Each lesson is tailored to meet the individual needs of my students, whether they need help with high school subjects like calculus and algebra, or advanced university topics like real analysis and differential geometry. I strive to make learning enjoyable and effective, ensuring that students not only succeed in their exams but also build a strong foundation for future math challenges. With a degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, I am equipped to help students at all levels, from high school to university, and even adults seeking to improve their math skills for work or exams.

I want to share my experience with Colton who has been my math tutor for the past five years. When I first started working with him, I struggled with math concepts and often felt overwhelmed. However, Colton has a unique passion for mathematics that truly shines through in his teaching.
His patience and ability to break down complex topics into simpler, more manageable parts have made all the difference for me. He always takes the time to ensure I fully understand each concept before moving on, which has boosted my confidence tremendously.
One of the aspects I appreciate most is his commitment to following up on my progress. He doesn't just teach; he genuinely cares about my success. Last year, I achieved a distinction in my math module, and I credit that success entirely to his guidance and support. Since then, I've consistently received good marks, and I feel much more confident tackling challenging problems.
If you're looking for a dedicated and skilled math tutor, I wholeheartedly recommend Colton . He has transformed my approach to math and has been an invaluable resource in my academic journey.Colton has tutored my son in high school Calculus. What I’ve noticed is how clearly he explains concepts, often relating them to real-world scenarios when possible, which makes the material much easier to understand. My son appreciates that Colton can come up with problems on the spot to help reinforce his understanding of Calculus.
