About Mya
From my 12-year journey in the equestrian world, including competitive experience in the hunter ring, my background shapes a unique perspective on horseback riding lessons that I bring to my students. My path wasn't always smooth; nine years ago, a significant fall led to a broken arm and, more impactfully, shattered my confidence. This experience, while challenging, became a pivotal moment in my riding career. The journey back to confidence in the saddle was steeped in hard work, perseverance, and a deepened understanding of the bond between horse and rider. This personal comeback story fuels my passion for teaching, emphasizing not just the skills of horseback riding but the resilience needed to overcome obstacles. My aim is to inspire and guide others through their own challenges, whether they're battling fears, looking to improve their skills, or simply seeking to enjoy the profound connection with these majestic animals. With empathy, patience, and a tailored approach to each student's journey, I am committed to helping riders of all levels find their confidence, achieve their goals, and discover the same joy and fulfillment in horseback riding that I have found.
