About the lesson
The approach I take to students is to start with very intuitive concepts and build up to more complicated ones. I think that visual examples of abstract concepts greatly help understanding.
I think the best method for success in secondary school is quizzing as often as possible on small concepts rather than large unit tests. This seems to work better for retaining memory of all concepts rather than only remembering broad concepts.
In regards to post-secondary courses, I feel confidant tutoring the quantitative reasoning courses I have taken because I have helped many classmates with the material (this includes up to calculus 2, discrete math, linear/abstract algebra for vector spaces, and the basis of computer science). The subjects sound a little vague, so feel free to contact if you have questions about the material.
I tutor in an academic course matter, separated by units similar to secondary school for the best mix of academic achievement and actual understanding.
I have a whiteboard so providing visual aids online will not be a problem.
