UoM Graduate of Mathematics with German (First Class, 2018)

Whilst studying at university, Molly helped lead a weekly peer tutoring session for first year students. This involved supporting the students with their weekly homework assignments and answering any ad hoc questions. The sessions were varied and difficult to prepare for as the students often asked unexpected questions, however Molly’s deep knowledge of the content meant this rarely caused any issues.

I am the Unit Leader at 4th Didsbury Brownie Unit (GirlGuiding UK)and I have had the pleasure of working with Molly for the last 5 years, where she volunteers as an Assistant Leader. Each week she is involved in the running of sessions for a group of 20 girls, aged 7-10.

Molly is an essential part of the leadership team, hardworking and committed to her role. She is excellent when interacting with the girls, and I can attest to her ability to encourage and inspire them to learn and take on new challenges. During her time with 4th Didsbury, she has independently run and taught many sessions for the girls, covering topics from environmentalism, conservation and science, all the way to craft and individual values. She has a great ability to adapt the sessions to the personal needs of the girls, for example, modifying activities to make them easier for the younger members. Her organisation skills are invaluable and she is always reliable and on time.
