About Julian
I was born in Hong Kong and migrated to Australia a few years ago. I can speak Cantonese and English in a native level, as well as being able to speak Japanese fluently. I have been studying in Japan for a month as an exchange program previously where I could communicate clearly with the native there.
I am currently a year 12 high school student. I aim is to teach others with the skills I have and allow them to enjoy learning the language like I do. I finished VCE Japanese Second Language with a study score of 43 and passed JLPT N3 in 2024, as well as owning a JLPT N4 certificate with score of 180/180.
Besides of teaching, I am passionate about Japanese pop culture like anime and manga that I enjoy to chat about those topics with my students during break time in our classes. I am updated with the newest anime content every season that I can give some recommendations to my students as well.

By taking my lessons, you or your children can learn about the basics of Japanese language. This includes Japanese characters (Hiragana, Katakana), Japanese vocabulary, Japanese sentence structure and more.
During my lessons, I will instruct and explain challenging concepts via Powerpoint or Google Slides. Diagrams and tables will be used to make difficult ideas clear and easy to understand. Questions related to the class would also be asked at the end of every lesson in order to allow a deeper memory of what have been learnt.
As a second language learner of Japanese, I am aware of the common mistakes that people usually make when learning the language, as well as ways to avoid those so that my students would then be able to learn more effectively.
