About Jane
Learning an instrument should feel like a conversation rather than a rigid lecture. I admit that I value the diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan to ensure we target your unique roadblocks. My 5 years of experience allow me to identify exactly where your fingers catch during complex chord changes or when your rhythm wavers. We integrate music theory into every song so you understand the architecture of what you play.

Music found me through a long road of folk and classical stages in Canada. I admit that I struggled with chord transitions when I first picked up a guitar. Now, I help teens, hobbyists, grade exam candidates, and working professionals navigate these hurdles with ease. My ARCT in Violin, Piano, and Voice shapes how I explain acoustic technique and music theory to my 424 students.
We cover everything from strumming patterns and scales and modes to lead and rhythm guitar. Barre chords become manageable when broken down into logical steps. Tuning and maintenance are habits I instill in everyone.
I find joy in reading sheet music together. It is a quiet, shared language.
