About Mara
My passion for violin began with a deep appreciation for classical music and expressive performance. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and have 7 years of teaching experience. I have worked with students of different ages and skill levels, helping them build strong technical foundations and confidence. Teaching violin allows me to combine discipline with artistic expression.
I enjoy helping students develop both technical accuracy and emotional expression. My teaching style is structured but flexible, allowing learners to grow at a comfortable pace. I focus on building confidence through clear explanations and step-by-step guidance. Each lesson supports steady musical development.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing and performing violin repertoire. These experiences help me bring depth and variety into my lessons. Watching students grow into confident musicians is one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.

My violin lessons focus on helping students develop strong technical control and expressive musical ability. I teach posture, bow hold, bowing techniques, finger placement, intonation, shifting, vibrato development, tone production, rhythm accuracy, and musical phrasing. Each concept is introduced step by step so students can build confidence without pressure. Lessons combine technical training with musical expression to support balanced growth.
Students are guided based on their level and learning needs. Beginners focus on posture, open strings, basic finger patterns, and simple melodies. Intermediate learners develop shifting, vibrato, tone control, and expressive playing. Advanced students work on interpretation, performance preparation, advanced bowing techniques, and repertoire refinement. Students preparing for exams or concerts receive structured practice guidance. Continuous feedback helps ensure steady progress.
Learning violin requires patience, focus, and consistency. My lessons create a calm and supportive environment where students can improve at their own pace. As skills develop, learners become more expressive and confident performers. My goal is to help every student enjoy the learning process while building strong violin skills.
