Junko and I met on a weekly basis for a period of two years, in which she taught me a great deal of practical, everyday Japanese language. I relied heavily on what she taught me to successfully integrate into a community in Nara prefecture in which my wife and I were among the only foreigners. Her limitless energy and warm, personable approach make her a tremendous teacher and conversation partner!

I had Junko as my teacher several years ago. My first teacher was American and I wanted to try learning from a native speaker. Junko is very sweet, positive, and patient and she helped me take my Japanese to the next level.

Had a wonderful learning Japanese with junko. Always was a pleasure sitting down with other people as we had challenges and games to go along with the courses/classes. She always made people welcome in her home n went of her way to explain/teach you. Also, the dinner was always the icing on the cake to make it a wonderful evening learning Japanese n culture!!

Excellent teacher, very patient, fun lessons, and a great friend! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to study Japanese. Her English is great too, so if you need something explained in English about grammar, vocab, or the culture, she can do it.
