About Megan

My name is Megan. I'm 23 years old from Reading, now based in London. Despite still being young myself, I have explored many areas of the industry already. From children's entertainment to scare acting, Lapland UK to Shrek's Adventure, teaching ballet and tap to directing and choreographing shows, I am lucky to have had a rich and varied history within this crazy industry. Whilst I am still on my own journey, and still growing as a performer and creative, I feel I have discovered some wisdom along the way, that I hope to share with the next generation of performers, as you enter a really exciting period in your life. I am a passionate performer just like you, and together I hope that we can keep that passion burning and open some doors for you.

About the lesson

Let's face it, half the battle in this industry is believing in ourselves. We have bucket loads of passion but can sometimes get in our own way. In sessions with me, we can work on building your confidence, understanding and exploring a text, acting through song, dance technique/strengthening, thinking outside the box and altogether making you feel net positive and audition ready. I mostly offer half hour or hour sessions, on zoom/teams, however I am open to booking space for in person work at Mountview academy of theatre arts, should we feel necessary. I am also willing to travel to you. I am a trained musical theatre performer, recently graduated from Mountview's masters programme. I also have experience in teaching performing arts and various dance styles. I have experience with directing and coaching, and have an enhanced DBS check due to my extensive experience working with and teaching young people. I would say my sessions are best for those preparing for entry into drama school or performing arts colleges. However, I can also provide life coach services or overall help in entering the industry, having battled that myself. Remember success doesn't always mean booking that big, impressive job. Success is being able to do what we love and having the willpower and dedication to pursue it.
