About Jag
I'm Jag, a STEM tutor with almost two years of experience, heading into Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo this fall. My strong foundation in coding languages is best exemplified by my Microsoft certification in Advanced C++ Programming, and I finished my high school Computer Science course with a perfect 100%. Beyond the classroom, I deeply enjoy building machines and applications from autonomous vacuum robots programmed from scratch with MicroPython to developing my own games in Unreal Engine. That mix of certification, coursework, and real hands-on projects is what I bring to every lesson: I don't just teach code, I build with it and show how students can too.

My lessons take an effective hands-on approach. Students write and debug real code from the first session, not just memorize syntax. Each lesson starts with a quick check-in, moves into a focused concept walkthrough, then into building something together, and wraps with an independent challenge so I can spot real gaps in understanding. I run my own tutoring company and I'm heading into a co-op Mechatronics Engineering program where I actively build embedded, hardware-level projects — so my teaching stays current and practical, not textbook-outdated. Lessons are for Grade 6-12 students learning to code, working through school programming courses, or preparing for competitive university programs.
