I'm originally from the Ivory Coast, Abidjan in West Africa. I have had some experience mostly in teaching primary school students and occasionally my peers in high-school and in university.
Many people tend to be scared of the French language and I aim at changing their mindset and making it fun and pleasant to learn. I will be sharing some tips and tricks that I discovered to make learning less stressful.
In all, I like to have a combined approach of both following the student's course outline and mixing it with lifestyle lessons such as conversations, cooking recipes, songs etc. Also, I like to get to know my students better so as to have a personalized teaching approach for each. I mostly follow the student's school curriculum and add a bit of fun and creativity to it once in a while to prevent boredom or monotony. Sometimes for those not in school and wanting to learn, I come up with a different teaching package and approach depending on their needs and goals.
You will surprised how simply an easy recipe or a song in french can stick to your brain. However, I adapt my classes according to age and level and I prefer to teach one on one or groups of 2 as it's more personal. #who knows you might be all set sooner than you think for a trip to Paris lol
See You In Class!
To whom it may concern,
I have known Anouchka for almost 9 years.
I am Human Resources advisor
Anouchka is a hard working individual who is very organized. I have found her to be a good listener and patient with people and able to explain complex questions in a very easy, understandable manner.
She communicates well with kids and knows how to motivate them. In addition, her fluency in both French and English is very good and allows her to interact with people (young and old) in the language of their choice.
She knows how to setup clear objectives for her lessons plans and how to monitor them to ensure that they are achieved.
I would not hesitate to recommend her for a teaching position.

I have graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor in Finance. I have had many tutoring opportunities for teaching primary school children in their private home and occasionally help some peers and other adults with assignments and projects comprehension during my BASc program.
I hold a bachelor degree in Finance from the University Of Ottawa '16 (program learnt in English).
I am a french native from the Ivory Coast and I also speak english fluently. (Bilingual)
I have taken various classes for Business French (formal) and as with all languages I am still perfecting it and tutoring has been the best way for me to still maintain and practice my french while living in an english-speaking town.
