About Jade

My name is Jade, I am 27 years old, and I am passionate about languages, cultural exchanges, and learning. I was born and raised in France, where I lived until I was 24 and earned a Master’s degree in Political Science. This academic background has given me a structured and analytical approach to teaching. My strong interest in social, political, and economic issues has led me to explore different perspectives through travel and professional experiences. Since moving to Canada, I have worked in social work and urban planning, which has strengthened my adaptability and active listening skills—both essential qualities in teaching. I also spent a year living in Japan, which allowed me to experience the challenges of learning a foreign language firsthand and develop teaching methods tailored to each student’s needs. About the lesson

My teaching methodology is student-centered, focusing on interaction and practical application. I adapt my approach based on the student’s needs, whether it’s grammar, pronunciation, writing, or conversation. I use real-life scenarios, authentic materials (articles, videos, and podcasts), and engaging exercises to make learning both effective and enjoyable. I also encourage active participation through discussions and role-playing.
typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes and follows this structure:

A Warm-up (5-10 min): A short conversation or review of the previous lesson to reinforce key concepts.
Main lesson (30-40 min): Introduction of a new concept (grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation) using interactive exercises, texts, and real-world examples.
Practice (10-15 min): Students apply what they have learned through speaking or writing activities.
Feedback & Homework (5 min): Corrections, personalized feedback, and optional exercises for independent practice.

My academic background in political science (Master’s degree from Sciences Po) gives me a structured and analytical approach to teaching. Having worked with teenagers during my studies, I am experienced in adapting my teaching to different learning styles. Additionally, my deep understanding of French culture, current affairs, and academic writing allows me to provide rich and engaging lessons tailored to the student's interests and goals.
