About Kayla
I blend academic training with real-world playing experience. My Bachelor of Music in World Music focused on guitar traditions from different cultures. I have also spent years playing metal, shred, and progressive rock, so I understand both the technical and creative sides of the instrument. With four years of teaching experience, I have worked with young learners and adult students alike. I love helping players build blistering speed and precision through structured exercises and practical techniques. We will work on alternate picking, sweep picking, and legato to develop your shred skills. I also focus on proper hand positioning and relaxation to prevent tension. My students learn to play fast without sacrificing clarity or tone. I believe anyone can improve with the right guidance and consistent practice. My lessons are challenging but always supportive.
