About Brenda
Toronto, Canada is where I grew up until 18 but I went out to see the rest of the world, starting in Mexico, then Europe. After I got married, I had six children, one born in Mexico, one in Turkey, one in Cyprus and three born in Canada.
My kids were home-schooled as we all travelled together. My husband was an English teacher which helped to cover our travel expenses. So, when my children grew up and moved out, I decided to take a TESOL course as a means to continue globe trotting.
By teaching English to students in other countries, I met lots of interesting people and had a lot of fun with my lovely students.

Let's start with the basics. A solid house needs a sturdy foundation. Do you know the English alphabet? Can you count to 100? How about your body parts? And don't forget phonetics. For example: the letter 'A' has many different sounds. Did you know that native English speakers LOVE to speak in idioms and slang? That's one of the fun things about learning English. Leave your fear behind and join in the fun. Making mistakes can be fun too!
