About Sophie
A Y13 student at St. Olave's Grammar School (one of the leading state schools in the UK for academic outcomes). Offering tutoring for Chemistry, Maths, Biology or Art up to Y12 level.
- Recently, I did my Oxford Biochemistry Interview and was offered a place to study there starting October 2026
- AS level Art (exam board = EDUQAS) - Grade: A (highest grade) in 2025 summer.
- GCSE results with 9s in English, Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Spanish and Art. Here, I was awarded Top in Year/academic attainment for Physics, Art, Spanish, Maths and History at GCSE level.
- I achieved Gold certificates and the highest in my school a few times for UKMTs and was also invited to the Olympiad. I've also had similar successes in various other national competitions in Chemistry, Biology and essay writing.
- In art, I am most keen on painting (oils, acrylics) as well as pencil. I specialise in portraiture.
- I also have experience tutoring 11+ prior to this where I helped a student secure a place at Kent's Top State School. I also tutored GCSE students.

- For GCSE and A-level Art, it is crucial to know what exactly will get you marks, credit and what is worth doing. I've seen many peers and students get mistaken about the wrong things to spend their time and effort on when this would get you little to no credibility.
- I will work with the student to ensure they work on the correct aspects and tick boxes in the top bands, whilst filling in any empty gaps in their portfolio.
- Not only that, we will work together to ensure we also hone your artistic skill and knowledge and produce pieces of artwork you are truly proud of.
- I am prepared to do a lot of work outside lessons to ensure I come prepared and that we cover enough so that money is not wasted.
