About Dasom

Hi! I’m a native Korean speaker with a passion for language, culture, and meaningful connection. I was born in South Korea and raised in New Zealand, which gave me a unique perspective and a deep interest in people from all backgrounds. That love for culture and communication has taken me on some big adventures—like walking over 1,000 km on the Camino de Santiago and cycling across South Korea and Portugal! I hold degrees in Psychology and Education, and I’ve been teaching languages for 6 years. My lessons are patient, personalized, and focused on real-life communication. I love helping students build confidence—not just in grammar, but in truly expressing themselves. Whether you're just starting or want to go deeper into Korean language and culture, I’d love to help you on your journey!

My lessons are student-centered and focused on real-life communication. I use a variety of media—like videos, articles, and audio—to keep things engaging, and I provide homework to help you review and grow.

Each class includes a conversational warm-up, structured grammar and vocabulary, and a cultural topic tailored to your interests.

With a background in travel and cross-cultural learning, I’m here not just as a teacher, but as your guide to Korean language and culture.
