About Diya
A Little About Me
Hi! I'm a current Year 12 SACE student who is passionate about learning and helping others achieve their academic goals. Having experienced the challenges of the SACE curriculum firsthand, I understand how overwhelming certain subjects, assignments, and exam preparation can feel. This has motivated me to help other students navigate their studies with greater confidence and a clearer understanding of their subjects.
I want to tutor because I believe that every student learns differently and that, with the right guidance and support, difficult concepts can become much more manageable. I enjoy the idea of sharing my knowledge, explaining concepts in ways that are easier to understand, and helping students recognize their own potential. I also understand the value of having someone approachable who can answer questions without judgment and provide support when things feel challenging.
As someone who has recently studied the same content, I can offer fresh insight into the curriculum, assessment expectations, and effective study strategies. My aim is to create a supportive and personalized learning experience where students feel comfortable asking questions, building their skills, and working towards their goals at their own pace. Ultimately, I hope to make learning less stressful, more rewarding, and help students feel proud of their progress.

My approach to tutoring focuses on personalised, one-on-one learning tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style and academic goals. As a current Year 12 SACE student, I have firsthand experience with the curriculum, assessment expectations and challenges students face throughout the school year.
I aim to provide more than just content explanations by helping students develop a deeper understanding of their subjects, improve their academic skills and become more confident and independent learners.
What I offer:
- Personalised one-on-one lessons: Individualised teaching that adapts to each student's strengths, weaknesses and learning pace, ensuring they receive focused attention and support.
- Comprehensive topic-by-topic notes: Carefully compiled resources that simplify difficult concepts, summarise key information and provide students with clear, organised revision materials.
- Extensive past exam practice: Relevant past exam questions from up to 20 years of available papers, organised by topic where possible, to help students familiarise themselves with different question styles and strengthen their exam technique.
- Assignment and assessment support: Guidance throughout the assignment process, from understanding task requirements and breaking down questions to planning responses, structuring arguments, applying subject-specific knowledge and refining written sections. I aim to help students understand what makes a strong response while developing their own skills and ideas.
- Practice tests and targeted revision: Topic-based quizzes and practice tests to identify gaps in understanding, reinforce key concepts and monitor progress ahead of assessments.
- Exam preparation and feedback: Support with interpreting questions, applying knowledge, managing time and learning from mistakes to approach exams with greater confidence.
- A supportive and approachable learning environment: A space where students can ask questions freely, work through challenging concepts without pressure and receive encouragement tailored to their individual progress.
My goal is to make learning more manageable and effective by combining personalised teaching, carefully prepared resources and practical assessment strategies. Having recently studied the same curriculum myself, I understand the importance of clear explanations, useful resources and targeted practice. I hope to help students not only improve their academic performance but also build the confidence and skills to succeed independently.
