About David

Hi, my name is David Peter and the idea of teaching has always stood out to me. Helping a child reach their academic potential is a truly fulfilling feeling for me, and as I help your child improve in their ability in the subjects I teach, I also find improvements in myself. I feel I am articulate and explain methods and processes well. I also have experience in public speaking, being elected to do pitches for companies and present entire year groups' thoughts to members of school committees. I am also confident and determined to work well with students.

About the lesson

I am well acquainted with, and have first-hand experience of, most modern teaching methods. This will be a benefit to your child as they will be familiar with my teaching approach and be able to apply it in their own classroom and tests. Additionally, as I am relatively young, I have a better recollection of the subjects being taught at this level and will not have to revise over material to understand concepts for long, which takes up time in the lesson. My lessons are for students of any ability in KS4/KS3 English or /KS2/KS3/KS4 Maths as I like to work at the pace of the student and so encourage students to go through their own class work with me. After I can gauge their ability in the subjects, I can go into further depth or decide to stay at that level for longer. I also encourage both parents and children to provide constructive feedback to improve the effectiveness of the lessons for both of us. My lessons typically last an hour, although I can make some exceptions if it better fits your schedule.
