About Thelma
Teaching piano requires a patient and calm demeanor that mirrors the discipline found in my MMus from McGill. My career has moved from the stage to the studio where I guide students through DYNAMICS AND EXPRESSION and rhythm and timing. I help you master chord voicing and sight transposition alongside scales and arpeggios.
Developing classical repertoire requires a focus on music theory and sight playing. We will also refine hand independence and posture and hand position together. I am ready to help you reach your musical goals.

Progress happens when you stop worrying about perfection and start listening to the actual sound. Quiet observation is often the most important part of my 10.0 rated instruction.
We spend time building physical comfort to support the music. My 13 years of experience ensure that technical hurdles are addressed early in our time together.
