About Nicholas
I treat every session as a dialogue between the music and the student. My degree from Université Laval Faculté de musique informs the high standards I set for tone production and music theory.
I ensure that all kids and performance-focused students understand the mechanics of their instrument. After each session, you receive free bowing and posture reference notes to guide your independent practice. This document helps you retain the complex adjustments we make regarding sight reading and orchestral positioning. I focus on creating a sustainable practice habit.

Precision defines my character in the practice room. I have 13 years of experience teaching the violin to students ranging from young kids to serious performance candidates. My background as a Conservatoire-trained musician influences every technical correction I offer.
I have worked with 162 students, helping them find their unique voice while maintaining proper posture and tone. My teaching remains centered on building a robust foundation that serves the music. You will receive clear, direct feedback on your shifting and scale work. I am committed to your growth as a musician.
