This initial assessment allows me to build a lesson plan that addresses your specific gaps in reading tabs or strumming patterns. My degree from McGill ensures that my approach to theory is both academic and accessible.

I specialize in teaching lead and rhythm guitar by combining music theory with practical ear training. A key fact is that I have guided 121 students through their development on this instrument.
I work with advanced learners and hobbyists who are returning to the guitar after a long break. My studio in Calgary serves as a base where we explore everything from complex scales and modes to modern songwriting.
Drawing on 13 years of experience, I ensure that my methods remain grounded in the reality of playing in a chamber ensemble. I find great satisfaction in watching musicians connect with their instruments on a deeper level. The process of mapping out a fretboard remains as interesting to me today as it was when I started.
