About Jecelyn
With over 11 years of experience teaching guitar both in-person and online, I hold a degree in music, specializing in guitar performance and pedagogy. I cover all styles of guitar, including classical, jazz, electric, acoustic, and bass, tailoring lessons to each student’s interests. Proper body posture and hand positioning are essential, so I guide students to play comfortably and prevent strain. Finger independence exercises are a key part of my lessons, improving speed, accuracy, and control. I also focus on mental preparation, helping students stay calm and focused during practice and performance. Stage readiness is another priority; I prepare students for auditions, recitals, and live performances with practical tips and performance strategies. Lessons include music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and improvisation to build a strong musical foundation. I encourage creative expression, helping students develop their unique style while mastering techniques. My approach supports motivated and ambitious students, helping them push boundaries and achieve excellence. Practice plans are structured but flexible, keeping learning fun and engaging. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, to build confidence and motivation. Every student receives personalized guidance to match their pace, goals, and style.
