About Sylvia

Hi! I'm Sylvia.
I'm a qualified Hind teacher from India.
As a passionate teacher with a postgraduate and an M. Phil degree in Hindi, I have successfully taught thousands of students over the course of my career. With over 22 years of teaching experience of students across different proficiency levels. I have enjoyed watching my students learn Hindi and converse with great ease and confidence.
I'm fluent in English, Konkani and Marathi.

About the lesson

HINDI-
I offer Hindi Classes to foreigners, working professionals as well as students.
I assess the students requirements and proficiency in the subject in the first class based on which I determine the right teaching methodology suitable to the student which will ensure the best progress in the least possible time.
My lessons are a combination of conversation, grammar, story reading, dialogue, role play, debates, translation exercises, precis writing on various topics and homework assignments.
I vary my pace as per my students proficiency in the language so that they don't feel stressed, are relaxed while mastering the language.
I work on my students pronunciations, vocabulary, sentence formation and conversation which makes them fluent in the language.Through my interactive lessons and use of multimedia, the student gains the confidence to handle any real world situation where his language skills will be tested and sound like a professional.

Miss Sylvia is a wonderful teacher. My foundation in Hindi was weak, but Miss Sylvia taught me the alphabets, how to put the words together and make the sentence grammatically correct, how to hold conversations.

Though her writing exercises and Coursework, I was able to write and speak fluently in a short span of time!

I was able to clear my exams in College with good marks!

I recommend Miss Sylvia , she is a very patient teacher who works with her student with great patience to teach the foundations thereby making learning the language an easy experience.

Ma'am is very organised. She has designed a good course structure which includes for both spoken and written Hindi. The homework and the coursework is made simple and easy to understand.

Under her guidance within a few weeks I saw myself writing and learning to speak well!

Now I am able to read , write and speak Hindi well. I can now understand and respond back to conversations well!
