About Terese
Hello! I've been teaching piano for 20 years. I started teaching part time in high school and college. I love teaching and consider myself to be the "practical piano teacher." There are fundamentals that are required for learning piano, especially in the first few years of learning. However, as a student progresses, I am willing to work specifically with them to cater to the direction they are wanting to pursue in piano.
When I was in high school, my teacher helped expand my repertoire. I began building a wedding and church portfolio. Thanks to my teacher's help, I have played in dozens of weddings over the last 20 years and played various church bands. I have also helped students with a strong ear for music further develop that as well. I have extensive experience teaching classical, baroque, jazz, worship and playing by ear.

We were delighted to find a teacher like Theresa. Working with her has taken our sight-reading skills to a whole new level. She knows how to connect with her students, explains things clearly, and always finds the right words to keep their spirits high. I wholeheartedly recommend this kind-hearted teacher, who is truly an expert in her field.
Terese is an excellent pianist and has a wide variety of experience as a teacher and professional musician. Not only is she accomplished and knowledgeable, but she is such a cheerful, energetic, patent, kind and encouraging person to learn from. I highly recommend her for anyone, young or old, who is looking to learn piano or grow their musical skill set as a pianist!
