I structure my teaching pace to ensure your progress is documented through a detailed monthly report shared with your parents. Every single note requires 100 percent of your focus to ensure accuracy. I utilize my BMus background to dissect difficult passages into manageable exercises for intermediate learners.
We will spend our time correcting your scales and refining the nuances of your bow control. My 5 years of experience have proven that slow, deliberate practice yields the best results. Classical melodies filled my childhood rooms before I transitioned into folk performance across Canada. You are likely seeking a structured path to refine your violin technique as a self-taught player or exam candidate. I earned my BMus from the UBC School of Music with a primary focus on strings and voice. My 5 years of experience in the field allow me to pinpoint exactly where your bowing technique needs adjustment.
We will work systematically on your ear training and tuning by ear. Vibrato and double stops will become second nature under my exacting watch.
