About Xavier
Hi, I’m a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a passion for helping students become confident musicians. I specialize in teaching young children and early teens, using creative and interactive methods to make learning enjoyable and engaging. My lessons incorporate games, rhythm exercises, ear training, and simple melodies to teach posture, bowing technique, finger placement, scales, and basic music theory in an exciting and memorable way.
I enjoy working with age-appropriate pieces across a variety of styles, helping students build strong technical skills while developing creativity and a genuine love for music. My approach focuses on improving coordination, intonation, rhythm, confidence, and musical expression. I tailor every lesson to each student's personality, learning style, and goals, ensuring they feel supported, motivated, and encouraged throughout their musical journey.
Through interactive exercises and practical playing activities, students strengthen their bow control, finger coordination, timing, and performance skills while building a solid foundation in violin. I emphasize proper posture, hand positioning, intonation, and musical expression, creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable learning, experimenting, and performing with confidence. My violin teaching methodology is designed to support both beginners and advanced learners, focusing on essential skills such as posture, bowing technique, finger placement, scales, intonation, rhythm, music theory, and musical expression. I build strong technical foundations while helping students develop confidence, discipline, and a deep connection with music.
Lessons include interactive exercises, technique-building activities, ear training, and practical repertoire-based learning to strengthen accuracy, coordination, and performance skills. Students also improve timing, bow control, hand positioning, and tone production through personalized guidance and constructive feedback.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s skill level, goals, and musical interests, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help every student become a confident violinist, enjoy the learning process, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
