About Jorge

Hi! I’m Jorge, an Economist with a Bachelor’s degree from ESAN University and postgraduate credentials in Finance and Accounting from Seneca College and Centennial College in Canada.

I’m a former Financial Analyst, and for the past 7+ years I’ve been tutoring university students in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and quantitative courses. I’ve worked with undergraduate, Master’s, and MBA students from universities across Canada, the US, Latin America, and Europe.

My approach is practical and personalized: I focus on understanding the concepts first, then applying them to the type of problems, exercises, and exams you actually face in your course.

About the lesson

I tutor university-level Finance and Accounting courses, including Introduction to Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Business Finance, Portfolio Theory, Investments, and Managerial Accounting.

If you’re struggling with a specific topic, preparing for a midterm or final, or simply want to build a stronger understanding of your course, we can work through your syllabus and focus on exactly what you need.

During lessons, I use a digital whiteboard to work through problems step by step, including financial calculations, formulas, graphs, and financial models. I don’t just give you the answer , I explain the reasoning behind each step so you can solve similar problems on your own.

After the lesson, I can provide the notes and worked exercises from our session in PDF, Excel, Word, or other formats when useful.

Before starting, I’m happy to review your syllabus, course material, or a sample exercise so we can identify where you need the most help.
