My teaching style is inspired equally by my time spent in India learning the traditional methods and by my several years teaching in the West. That gives my classes the feel of balance between the two.
I pay great attention to alignment and injury prevention and i incorporate stress management methods in my classes such as breathing and meditation, if that is what the student desires.
Private classes are a great way to focalise the attention on what the student needs and create a program that will meet the goals set by the student.
I am gentle and patient in my ways of teaching. I always give the student the time for expressing what they are looking for from the session, and feedback at the end.
I have completed a 500 hour advanced yoga teacher certification in 2013

Joelle was my first teacher, she was the one who got me to practice Yoga..Joelle is not one of those modern day teachers who teach because they have done a YTTC. She teaches wholeheartedly, with a passion not just about the asana but also the philosophy and passing on her knowledge to her students. I practiced with Joelle for 5 years, and never did I stop learning and challenging myself to go the extra mile, and she’s always there to make sure she helped me mentally and physically. She’s a gem, a great teacher and even a greater friend. I’m so lucky to have had her as my first mentor, she changed the way I see things in many many ways.
I hated yoga before going to Joelle’s class in early January 2018. Since then I got hooked and now, one move to Qatar and one baby later, I still make sure to get a class in with her at least once a week even if it’s just an online session.
Joelle is kind and genuine. You instantly feel comfortable with her. She adapts the practice to your needs (whatever physical shape you’re in, whatever mental state you’re in). She strikes the perfect balance between the spiritual part of yoga and the physical part. I started yoga just to lose weight and Joelle’s classes put me on track. I didn’t feel bothered or annoyed by the “vegan matcha tea spiritual” vibe that ysed to bother me when taking yoga classes. Gradually yoga became more than exercise for me and Joelle’s classes didn’t feel limited to exercise. Joelle was still the same teacher, but her classes somehow work wonderfully whatever you are looking for.
Joelle pays attention to technique and alignement but it never feels too forced. She gives you confidence without seeming in any way fake. She pushes you to go beyond your limits without being pushy.
I envy those who can attend a class of hers physically and i highly encourage anyone to get an online class in when they can.
I have been doing private and group yoga classes with Joelle for the past year and it has been a wonderful journey . She explains every pause thoroughly . She is very attentive friendly and passionate about what she does which makes her class so enjoyable. She also knows how to challenge me to give my best in every class . Love her and her classes !
