I draw upon my BMus background to ensure we refine every scale and arpeggio with absolute precision. We spend significant time on ABRSM and Trinity grade exam requirements to keep your trajectory clear.
I provide recorded playback of tricky passages so you can study the nuance at home. This allows you to listen back to the specific finger placement we discussed in the studio. Music exists because I need a concrete way to organize the chaos of human emotion. Admittedly, I find the most satisfaction in the grueling discipline of the practice room.
My 13 years of instruction have centered on violin technique, though my BMus from the UBC School of Music included guitar and voice as core secondary studies. Teens and intermediate performance-focused learners often come to me when they are stuck on technical plateaus.
