About Monica
Pacing matters more than speed in these sessions. I assess your technique during our first few minutes together. We work through chord transitions and barre chords using the music you actually like. This makes the heavy lifting of acoustic technique feel manageable.
You receive a practice module with every lesson to keep your momentum high. It is a simple way to track your progress between sessions. I find that this structure serves intermediate learners well. Please let me know if you would like to book a time.

Music connects people across borders and backgrounds. I have spent 13 years performing in the Montreal folk scene.
My BA from UQAM gives me a deep understanding of how songs are constructed. I have worked with 299 students over the past 9 years, ranging from busy professionals to focused adult hobbyists.
My goal is to keep you grounded in the groove while expanding your technique. I teach because I want to see you master the fretboard with intent. You will find that my approach is direct and honest. I hope to help you find your own rhythm.
