About Margot
Personalizing the material means I watch your hands before I suggest a change. I sometimes struggle to keep my own guitar in tune during humid summer months. Tuning and maintenance remain the first things we address together. Teens benefit from power chords that get them playing songs immediately.

Teaching electric and acoustic technique requires a deep grasp of how hands move across the fretboard. I once spent 5 hours straight trying to perfect a single chord transition in a dark rehearsal room.
My Bachelor of Arts in Music from McGill University informs every session I lead. Teens and self-taught players often come to me when they want more structure in their practice. Managing performance-focused students is a highlight of my work.
Grade exam candidates find my approach quite rigorous. It feels great to watch a student finally master barre chords after weeks of effort. Playing music should always be fun.
