About Joe

I have been tutoring for most of my school years now and I believe that this is beneficial to my students as not only does it allow me to level with them and really understand their issues with these subjects and break it down to them in ways that worked for me, but I also know what they are going through as I did it recently as well. Having tutored since the age of 14 I have covered nearly everything there is to cover across a range of ages. I am an Aerospace engineering student at Loughborough University with an A* in maths at A-level and a 9 in maths at GCSE. My style of tutoring is different to a lot of those that you might find on this site, I am not a teacher who will set homework and teach you the course, I like to imagine myself more as a big brother, having 3 younger siblings helps me with this, working through issues and problems together, I will always ask for students' input and I am flexible with explanations and problems if any understanding issues arise. I mainly use practice questions and past papers to put their revision into use and I try to let students work methods out on their own, using knowledge from other topics as this works to keep the new things fresh for much longer than being taught the method. About the lesson

I tailor sessions to suit my client’s needs, if students need new topics taught to them through slides and practice questions, revision on specific topics, or exam practice. Students’ needs change every week and I change my sessions with those needs.
