About Gavin

I’m currently a high school student myself, and while I haven’t formally tutored as a job before, I’ve successfully taught many of my friends Japanese and helped them make noticeable progress in a short amount of time. I genuinely love teaching the language, and there’s nothing better than seeing the excitement when a student finally starts understanding Japanese. I treat every student with respect, patience, and friendliness because I remember what it was like to be taught when I was younger, and I want to give others that same positive experience to everyone.

About the lesson

I offer lessons designed to allow you to use real Japanese grammar and conversation, while also developing a natural accent, within just a few weeks. I explain the basics in a simple, easy-to-understand way and prioritize each student’s comfort and learning pace, so you never feel overwhelmed or as if you’re falling behind. Japanese may be very different from English, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. I’ll make sure learning it feels simple, comfortable, and enjoyable for all.
