About Nobu

I’m from Tokyo and have spent about one year living abroad in total (study, travel, work trips) in Australia, Asia, and Europe.

I love the gym, marathon running, music, piano, travel, and language learning. I’ve visited more than 20 countries ️

I enjoy talking with people, so let’s learn together in a relaxed and fun atmosphere!

Lesson Plans (3 options)

① Beginner to Intermediate – Enjoy basic conversation and the sound of Japanese

Learn basic grammar + create your own conversations!

Textbook: Nihongo Fun & Easy: Survival Japanese Conversation for Beginners (ASK Publishing, with CD)

Sample topics:

Self-introduction / shopping (e.g., “Can I pay by credit card?”) / invitations (“Would you like a cup of tea?”) / expressing feelings / talking about plans (“I’m going to an art museum.”)

② Conversation

Practice speaking using any topic or situation you like.

No textbook required (YouTube videos or articles can be used).

③ Customised Lessons

Fully adjust the content according to your goals and level.

- I’ve taught a wide range of students — from France, various African countries, overseas residents, people living in Japan, students, and working professionals (from beginner to upper-intermediate).

- In graduate school, I studied Japanese language education, learned methods for correcting Japanese writing, and supported international students in presentation-based Japanese classes.

About the lesson

★ Students speak a lot in their own voice, enjoy pronouncing Japanese, and start to enjoy speaking the language.

★ Get familiar with the sounds of Japanese. Use your ears, mouth, and all five senses!

★ Make lots of mistakes, grow your Japanese skills significantly, and enjoy communication and intercultural exchange!

★ Learning outside class is essential. In lessons, we use Google Docs & Sheets, which you can check anytime — at home or on the go.

★ Take on the 100 essential Japanese phrases memorisation challenge! We can also check your proficiency along the way. You can message me anytime outside class with questions. Homework and original tests are available.
