About Steven
I'm a later-in-life law school applicant who scored a 175 on the June 2025 LSAT after starting with a 159 diagnostic. I've been accepted to two law schools and am waiting to hear back from others.
Before pivoting to law, I worked for over a decade in the media industry. I studied for the LSAT using 7Sage, where I completed most of the LR core curriculum, attended live classes, and worked with a tutor whose approach heavily influenced my own teaching style.
I've tutored eight students since August 2025, intentionally keeping a light client load while I developed my lesson plans and refined my teaching methods. I'm now looking to take on more students.
My favorite LR question is PT135/S4/Q23, about the relationship between dogs and undomesticated wolves. My favorite RC passage is PT128/S1/P4 (Riddled Basins of Attraction).

I scored a 175 on the LSAT, up from a diagnostic of 159. I've worked with eight students since I started tutoring in August 2025.
My approach starts with an analysis of your practice test results. I ask for up to three PTs so I can identify exactly where you're losing points. From there, I build custom lesson plans targeting your specific weaknesses. For example, I've developed lessons on process of elimination, tactical reading for dense stimuli, deciding between two answer choices, and every LR question type. No two students get the same plan.
During sessions, I ask you to narrate your thought process out loud as we work through questions together. I've found that students learn much better when they arrive at answers themselves, rather than having them spoon fed to them.
A typical session starts with a short lesson on the day's focus, followed by targeted practice questions. Between sessions, I'm available by email if you get truly stuck on a question.
I work best with students who are planning to take the LSAT this year and are willing to put in the work between sessions.
