About Zoe
I'm a 4th year chemistry student at the University of Oxford - having sat my finals last year I am now entering my Master's year of the course which is fully devoted to a research project. This gives me much more flexibility in my work and has allowed me to focus on tutoring and helping students who are rising through the ranks whether that be at GCSE or A-level.
I achieved A*s in all my A-levels (Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry) as well as in all my GCSE's (11 in total). I have also achieved a First (Distinction) in my 1st, 2nd and 3rd year exams at University.
At school I did some 1-1 tutoring for secondary school students in both sciences and maths.

Friendly, caring and understanding tutor who wants to help people achieve their goals irrespective of background.
Will encourage students to tackle subjects they find more challenging by starting slowly and assessing their confidence levels allowing them to talk me through sample questions. This allows for a more active approach and hopes to teach students that getting things wrong is not something to be embarrassed about but instead an opportunity to learn!
After the initial assessment, I will build on the student's knowledge, making sure that the student knows the aims of each lesson and is happy with the course of action I plan on taking.
I like to finish lessons by asking the students to state three things that they think went well and three things they think they can work on for the next session/in the future.
