About Harim

Hello! My name is Harim, and I am driven by a deep passion for teaching English.

First and foremost, I believe in the power of language and its ability to transcend boundaries. As a global language, English opens doors to countless opportunities for individuals to connect, communicate, and grow. I am enthusiastic about empowering others to develop their language skills, enabling them to express themselves confidently and engage in meaningful conversations with people from diverse backgrounds.

I understand the challenges and triumphs that come with language acquisition, and this empathy allows me to approach teaching with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support my students' learning journeys. I am dedicated to employing innovative teaching methodologies, adapting to various learning styles, and creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.

About the lesson

Techniques & Teaching Methodology:

I tailor my lessons to the specific needs and goals of each student. By assessing your language proficiency, interests, and objects, I design lesson plans that are relevant, challenging, and enjoyable. I provide constructive feedback and error correction during and after activities. This helps students identify areas for improvement and encourages them to refine their language skills gradually.

Length of a Lesson:

The length of my lessons typically depends on the needs and preferences of my students. However, a typical lesson duration is around 60 minutes. For more intensive or specialized courses, longer lessons of 90 minutes or even 120 minutes can be scheduled.

Qualification & Experience:

Born and raised in New Zealand, I deeply understand the English language and its nuances. This background has equipped me with the necessary skills to excel in various areas, including writing and proofreading, CV creation, and help with University entrance in English, History, and Classical Studies.

In addition to my native proficiency, I am currently in my fourth year of studying Global Studies. This interdisciplinary program has enhanced my cross-cultural awareness, critical thinking abilities, and research skills. These attributes greatly contribute to my effectiveness as an English tutor, as I can provide a broader perspective and engage students in discussions encompassing global issues and perspectives.

Furthermore, I am an interviewer at the Citizens Advice Bureau. This role has honed my communication and interpersonal skills, enabling me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and provide guidance in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
