About Kian
I am a 22-year-old Aerospace engineering student in the final year of an integrated master's at The University of Sheffield specialising in avionics systems (ask me about it!). I have been interested in engineering since I was in year 4 and am a very passionate teacher. For A-Levels, I took Maths, Further Maths (Pure 1 & 2, statistics 1, and Decision 1), physics, and Fine Art, as well as an EPQ - during which I made a hybrid rocket engine. Outside of engineering, I have many interests in, music (piano, french horn, and guitar), Art, and sports (competing at a national level in Archery and an avid canoe and kayaker).

I am a practical teacher, using engineering principles and practical examples of the work you are learning in your school classes to help you better understand the concepts. Lessons will last at least 1 hour and can be as long as two or longer if needed. I have been teaching various topics and activities for the last 6 years, including being a young leader for the scouting association, performance coaching for archery, and teaching Maths, Physics, and Art to both A-Level and GCSE Level Students. Additionally, I'm more than happy to help answer questions about university & sixth-form life and the best ways to apply, and what to expect through the various stages of your education.

Perfect! Kian was very attentive and I think would offer a brilliant lesson experience across maths/physics/engineering and some other topics too. Using the pod in Sheffield City Business Library was excellent too. Our circumstances have changed this week so sadly this is not for us at the moment, but I can see that Kian is really personable and knows his subject and is very comfortable teaching.
