About Heidi
I’m a South African IELTS Writing specialist with 12 years of teaching experience. I help students improve their Task 1 and Task 2 scores for both Academic and General IELTS Exams, focusing on structure, coherence, vocabulary, grammar, and exam strategy, so you know exactly what examiners are looking for.
I’ve lived and taught abroad in Istanbul, Türkiye, and Tbilisi, Georgia, for a total of six years, working with students at preparatory schools and universities. These experiences gave me insight into how students from different cultures approach writing tasks and how to guide each learner to express ideas clearly and confidently.
I currently work with a Spain-based company, delivering English communication training to professionals in Fortune 500 companies. Alongside this, I founded my own small online language school, LanguageWize, a few years ago, where I create focused, structured lessons for learners worldwide.
Outside the classroom, I’m inspired by travel, the arts, and the outdoors, and I bring that curiosity and creativity into my teaching. My lessons are structured, personalized, and practical, giving you the tools and confidence to achieve your IELTS Writing goals.

My IELTS Writing lessons focus on developing the specific skills required for Task 1 and Task 2, in line with the official IELTS assessment criteria. Lessons cover Task Achievement, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, and grammatical accuracy, with clear explanations of how each area affects your band score.
Lessons are structured and personalised. We analyse task questions, plan responses, and review written work in detail. Feedback is practical and specific, showing you what to improve, why it matters, and how to apply the correction in future tasks.
Each lesson includes guided practice, model analysis, and targeted exercises based on your current level and score goals.
