About Isaac

I am an actor in Vancouver, BC. Having trained at Dalhousie University, Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts, On the Mic Training, and learning from various private coaches, I have a firm handle on the essentials of acting and performance. I have worked on shows such as Man In the High Castle, Rogue, and Legends of Tomorrow, as well as having been a part of the People’s Law School’s Justice Theatre troupe for 7 years. Of course, knowing the craft does not prove I can teach it. In regards to my teaching ability, I call upon my experience as the Training Coordinator of FlyOver Canada where I developed training programs for the staff from scratch as well as having developed an acting class that I call “Technique Exploration”.

I offer Technique Exploration as a weekly course that builds on itself in a group setting or individually. I also offer Private Coaching for individuals on their auditions, monologues, or personal acting goals.

About the lesson

I am a firm believer that anyone can learn to do anything given the right guidance and support.

My Technique Exploration course aims to expose newcomers to a variety of techniques in script analysis, rehearsal methods, acting and performance styles, in order to give them a solid foundation for knowledge. My objective is to help performers find their own techniques by examining a variety of source material. Together, we will analyze modern, historical, and international performance styles that will aid in their respective journeys of becoming better, well-rounded performers. While this program is aimed at those with little-to-no acting experience, those with a moderate level of training are able to benefit as well as it is always helpful to re-establish the fundamentals from a new and unique perspective.

Private Coaching sessions will focus on diving deep into the materials that you are most interested in and tailor your education to your specific needs.

He plays and and works with you to figures out what might be best for the scene. With that established, he focuses on what's necessary and needed and let's everything else fall away.

I learned so much and was even able to put his lessons into practice right away when I showed up to an audition with no idea what the script was about. I only had a few minutes to go over the lines so I used the skills he gave me and I got the part!
