About Tom

Actors I’ve worked with have gone on to book major roles in Hollywood films, Broadway productions, and West End shows.

My clients are currently appearing in hit series and films on Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, ITV, and the BBC.

My 20 years working on stage and screen as an actor and director has given me a deep, inside-out understanding of the actor’s process — what they need, what challenges them, and what frees them.
When I moved into directing, I built on that insight, studying Stanislavski and Meisner with Elen Bowman to refine techniques that help performers fully embody their roles.

Today, I draw on my performer’s instinct and director’s vision to create a space where actors feel safe, challenged, and inspired to deliver their most truthful, compelling work.

In 2015 the National Theatre saw a show of mine, The Dogs of War, & invited me to train on their directors course at the NT Studio.

The next few years I worked in the West End & all over the UK.

My career has seen me working with Cameron Mackintosh on Miss Saigon and Oliver! collaborating with incredible artists worldwide, directing shows that won awards at The Edinburgh Festival and touring all over Europe and transferring Off-Broadway!

When the world changed forever in 2020 I reinvigorated my way of working again, coaching performers online, writing & directing online content. This led me to work with stars such as Raven Symoné & Sir Derek Jacobi.

About the lesson

During my bespoke 1:1 coaching programmes, you’ll develop a process where you find joy, discovery and success with your new approach to self-taping, auditioning or preparing for your roles.

Sessions range from 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on your needs.

I’ll work with you to build a roadmap for your career. Both career coaching & acting process coaching.

I’ll be on hand for character preparation & monthly accountability.

I’ll be your sounding board for questions, frustrations & solutions to manage both your acting process & career.

I use techniques and tools that have been tried and tested, using my 20 years of industry experience in the West End and all over the world.

Trained at Arts Educational School (BA), National Theatre Studio and Living Pictures.

I have taught at some of London's top drama schools, including Mountview, Arts Ed and the National Film and Television School.
