About Kyra
I'm an upperclassmen currently enrolled in AP Calculus, and I've been helping my brother (and others) learn algebraic curriculum for quite a while. I passed the class with an A+ and received a perfect score (600 SOL) on the state test for the curriculum. I believe that this course is the most important math course, as it lays the foundation for every other advanced math course to be taken- high school through college.

- My teaching is all based around student's needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, and communication is the best way understand the learning style of any given student. Whether it's a specific homework problem giving them trouble, or an algebraic concept, I ask about what works best, and then build the teaching from there.
- A typical lesson plan would be walking through the basics of a concept, and then working up to the more complex levels within that concentration. If it was multivariable equations, that would mean reviewing single variable equations, adding in an additional variable, and then walking through different ways to solve the equation. Students would also have a chance to walk through homework with me to help guide the education and make it specific to their school's curriculum.
- What sets me apart as a tutor is that I understand that the standing public education system only caters to one form of learning, one which doesn't align with the thought process of many students. Understanding this helps make learning more accessible to many.
- These lessons are for elementary, middle, and high school learners taking algebra.
