About Laurie
You will find that voice work is best when the atmosphere remains light and open. Singing requires you to be vulnerable, so I ensure the space is always encouraging. My 7 years of experience mean I know how to adapt to your specific range and goals.
Since I hold a BA Musique populaire, I bring a musician’s ear to every note you hit. I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes for all my students. We will have you feeling ready for your next big performance or exam in no time.

Sometimes I admit that teaching singing is just helping someone stop being afraid of their own lungs. I spent 9 years gigging the Montreal folk scene, which taught me more about tone and resonance than any textbook. My BA Musique populaire degree provides the technical rigor needed for sight singing and complex harmony work. After 7 years of coaching, I have seen every type of vocal block.
I focus on breathing control and microphone technique to ensure you sound like yourself, only clearer. These skills are vital for working professionals and exam candidates alike.
