About Alekh
I’m an airline pilot and FAA-certified flight instructor with thousands of hours of experience on the Boeing 737 NG and Airbus A320. Over the years, I’ve trained and mentored pilots at different stages of their journey — from their first ground school sessions to their airline assessments. My teaching philosophy is simple: clarity before complexity. I focus on helping students truly understand the “why” behind every concept rather than relying on memorisation. Each session is structured, logical, and supported by real cockpit reasoning. I have FAA, TRANSPORT CANADA, DGCA and UK CAA ATPL and I have instructed and helped students pass assessments in US, INDIA, CANADA, UAE, UK and EUROPE. I bring a broad perspective that helps students grasp tricky topics quickly. I monitor every student’s progress using the ATPLQ question bank and tailor lessons to address individual weaknesses, ensuring steady improvement and consistently high exam scores. Whether you’re aiming to pass your ATPLs on the first attempt or achieve top marks for airline applications, I’ll guide you with the same precision and professionalism I bring to every flight.

Each lesson is part of a proven, results-focused method designed to help students pass their ATPL exams with high scores and real understanding. Classes are taught live via Microsoft Teams, where I explain every concept clearly using diagrams, worked examples, and real-world reasoning. Notes and summaries are shared through OneNote after every lesson, so you can revisit key ideas anytime and track your progress. After each session, we strengthen knowledge through targeted ATPLQ question-bank practice, focusing on accuracy, reasoning, and exam technique. Your progress is monitored closely, with personalised feedback after every topic to ensure you stay ahead of the curve. This is not about memorising — it’s about mastering. My goal is to help you build deep understanding, confidence, and consistency so you don’t just pass — you excel. I will cover all of the technical core subjects of ATPL and my expertise is in teaching GENERAL NAVIGATION, METEOROLOGY, PRINCIPLES OF FLIGHT, RADIO NAVIGATION, FLIGHT PLANNING, MASS & BALANCE AND PERFORMANCE. The lesson note will not only help you pass the ATPL but will help you pass the Airline Assessment too!

Perfect! I was really struggling with the volume of Gen Nav and Mass & Balance until I started sessions with Alekh. As a current Senior First Officer, he moves past the basic textbook theory and explains the actual logic used in a commercial flight deck. He uses a Wacom tablet to sketch out complex concepts like Convergency and the 1:60 rule, which made everything click much faster than self-study. Having an active airline pilot explain how these calculations work in a real-world high-performance environment is invaluable. Highly recommended for anyone serious about passing the 'heavy' subjects.
- Sahil was very keen and professional with excellent approach towards studying. It was truly a pleasure to go over GNAV and M&B with him.. keep up the great work!See the response Alekh :

I’ve been training with Alekh for my ATPL subjects, and he’s been an incredible mentor throughout. He helped me prepare for both Performance and Mass & Balance, and thanks to his clear explanations and real-world examples, I passed both CAA and EASA exams with over 90%!
Alekh doesn’t just teach — he makes sure you understand the logic behind every concept. His background as an airline pilot really shows, and he’s brilliant at connecting theory to practical flying situations.
I’m now continuing with him for my airline assessment preparation, and his guidance is making a huge difference in my confidence and knowledge. I can’t recommend him enough for anyone serious about becoming an airline pilot!A gifted Pilot teacher - I started my theory lessons with Alekh last year while preparing for my PPL exams, and he was a huge part of my success. His way of teaching made even the complex topics clear and practical, and he always took the time to make sure I truly understood the “why” behind every concept. Aviation subjects with its own sort of 'language and mathematics' was so alien to me but he was always patient throughout the teaching. Thanks to his help, I passed my PPL exams and built a really strong foundation that’s now helping me as I move into my ATPL studies. We’ve been revisiting General Navigation recently, especially the tricky topic of convergency, and Alekh still has that same patience, detailed approach that makes learning so much easier. He’s not just a great instructor — he’s an excellent mentor who genuinely cares about his students’ progress and future in aviation. I can’t recommend him highly enough to anyone who wants proper guidance from someone who knows both the theory and the real-world side of flying. Many many thanks Alekh for making my aviation studying more understandable, comfortable and actually fun. You are a naturally gifted teacher, Alekh, thank you.
Meteorology used to feel impossible—too many systems, charts, and patterns I couldn't make sense of. Alekh completely changed that by breaking everything down into simple logic and showing me how it all connects to real flying conditions.
Suddenly frontal systems, stability, thermodynamics—it all clicked. He doesn't just teach you what to memorise; he teaches you why it matters. That confidence boost transformed how I approached the whole subject.
I went from dreading the exam to actually enjoying meteorology. I passed comfortably on the first attempt with a strong score, and more importantly, I actually understand the material—not just for the exam, but for real flying.View more recommendations
