About Derek
I have a lot of experience with mathematics in my life. I have always been able to quickly learn and master math topics. In college I have tutored many of my peers through calculus and physics. I am a senior in astrophysics so I have many, many hours of math under my belt.

I will ask that I’m informed about what the student is struggling with before the lesson. During the lesson we will work together to understand the topic/topics to the best of the students ability; Well enough to demonstrate the same concept if asked. During the lesson I will give my best effort to give examples with explanation. I think it is important that a student is exposed to many different variations of a concept to gain mastery.
