About Joely
Working in the Arts sector, I am inspired by objects and shared experiences to understand more about our social history and its impact today . Throughout my Masters degree I have developed an aptitude for critical thinking and independent research. Coupled with my skills as a swimming teacher and mentor, I have an approachable teaching style that can adapt to my students requirements and learning preferences. Throughout my academic and professional careers I have gained a full understanding of the importance of holistic learning and implement real-life scenarios and similarities into my lessons where appropriate. This approach encourages students to become more aware of their own thoughts and contributions and the wider social impact.

My name is Joely and I am 26, living in London and working for an international auction house. I have a first class BA in History and a Masters degree. I like to encourage critical thinking and high-level questioning facilitated by inquiry and project based learning. I can tutor for GCSE and A-Level History, and GCSE English. I also offer weekly tutoring to help with projects and homework for those students not working towards a national exam. I am happy to offer face-to-face lessons in the Queens Park area, or virtually. Typically, lessons will last for 1 hour, extended and/or weekend sessions can be arranged.
