About Ryan
As a Seneca College Animation student, I have developed strong skills in drawing, digital art, character design, and animation.
My strengths as a tutor are patience, clear communication, and the ability to break down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. After having quite a few strict and rough art teachers, I know that learning art while having fun is the best way to go! I provide personalized feedback while encouraging students to develop their own creative style and confidence. I make sure they understand the basics before applying them to more complex projects.
I have spent time working both traditionally and digitally so depending on what the student wants to learn or what skills they wish to improve, I will be able to accommodate them and make sure they produce their best work!

I take a supportive, hands-on approach to teaching art, adapting lessons to each student's skill level, interests, and goals. I demonstrate techniques step-by-step, then guide students through their own work while providing constructive feedback.
Lessons typically include a short introduction to a technique, a guided exercise, and time for the student to apply what they learned creatively, whether digitally or traditionally.
As an Animation student at Seneca College, I bring experience in drawing, digital art and character design. While having additional experience in storyboarding, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Blender, I aim to make art approachable while helping students build both their technical skills and confidence.
My lessons are designed for middle and high school students, from beginners learning the fundamentals to more experienced students looking to develop their portfolios and creative skills.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
I am in my last year of high school and plan to go into illustration. Ryan helped me with my perspective and layout drawing and answered all my questions about college and how the illustration programs work.
He was very patient and would demonstrate how to set up my perspective grids as well as show me how to place objects within the grid.
Ryan showed me how to draw in 5- point perspective too, which was really cool and something I hope to use next year! Thank you!View more recommendations
