About Jamie
I am a student completing a double degree in neuroscience and computer science! I love working with people and seeing them succeed. Particularly with math, I like to try different techniques with every student to suit their learning style best. In the past I have tutored elementary and high school math. I was also part of our peer helpers program at the university of Calgary!

I approach math with the belief that everyone has the capacity to grow in it. Neuroscience studies in education have shown how parts of the brain physically grow in size when challenged. Studies of math techniques show the importance of using a multi-faceted approach, especially with visual connections. I like to start off working through problems together, identifying strengths and areas for growth and going forward with structure from there.
