About Wian
I'm an Applied Mathematics and Physics student who genuinely enjoys helping learners make sense of subjects that too often feel intimidating. Maths and Physical Science are what I study and work with every day, so I know the material thoroughly — and I remember what it's like to be the one struggling with it, which shapes how patiently I teach.
My approach is calm, encouraging, and honest. I won't pretend a topic is easy, but I will break it down until it makes sense, and I'll always be straight with you about where you're doing well and what still needs work. I believe almost anyone can do well in Maths and Science with the right explanation and a bit of confidence.

I offer patient, one-on-one tutoring in high school Maths and Physical Science for Grade 8–12 learners, fully aligned to the CAPS curriculum. As an Applied Mathematics and Physics university student, I work with this material daily, so I explain concepts clearly and break tricky problems into simple, logical steps.
Lessons are fully bilingual — I teach comfortably in both English and Afrikaans, whichever suits the learner best.
A typical lesson starts by pinpointing exactly where you're stuck, then works through worked examples and past exam-style questions until the concept genuinely clicks. I focus on building real understanding and exam confidence, not just memorising.
